We started homeschooling to give our family more time together. My husband was commuting long hours and the typical school schedule meant he only saw our kids at bedtime.
As a public educator in graduate school to become a school librarian, I never saw myself as a homeschool mom. But I said, "Okay, I'll try it for one year..." and the rest is history. We found homeschooling worked for us - and we discover the details of implementation anew each year as our family changes and grows.
I'm all in on helping your family do the same. If something isn't working for your family and your student - let's change it.
